This unit gives students the opportunity to study in depth the work of a single author. Through tracing an individual author's career we will also consider the role of the author more generally. How do authors conceive of their role? What does society expect from its authors? The choice of author(s) for study will depend on the expertise of teaching staff in a given semester.
