About Census Dates

Photography 2A increases student competency in photography by instruction in the use of digital and medium to large format analogue cameras. The history of photography as a documentary medium is investigated through a series of illustrated lectures. The photographic series as a presentation form, and the use of colour are explored through two set projects, developing the student's capacity to produce a coherent sequence of photographic images. Regular group critiques and individual consultation with the lecturers foster the exchange of ideas and provide feedback on student progress.

Two set projects including journal. Project 1 30%, Project 2 70%

3 hour studio session weekly, with an expectation of at least an additional 9 hours independent practical work per week (13 weeks)
