Having a website is essential for professional artists and designers. Being able to select an appropriate web strategy and design and implement it have become mainstream skills for designers and communications.
By undertaking this unit, you will extend your understanding of the internet as a whole, its structure, its history, the relationships between society and technology. You will learn about strategies for creating and implementing effective web strategies, and develop a function website project.
WEIGHT: 12.5%
ASSESSMENT:
Presentation and blog (20%), skill development tasks (30%), self-directed website project (50%)
TEACHING PATTERN:
3 hrs seminar / demonstration / workshop weekly, plus an expectation of at least an additional 3 hrs independent practical work weekly (13 weeks)
