DESCRIPTION

Electronic Media covers a diverse range of forms (video, animation, web, sound, installation, interactivity) and is the most pervasive means of production and delivery for expressive communication in the world today. Whether you aspirations are to be a designer, artist or filmmaker, further study in Electronic Media will allow you to explore and develop your knowledge, skills and expression in these forms.

By undertaking Electronic Media 2A you will further develop your knowledge of the diverse history and practices in this medium. In this unit you will continue to develop your technical, conceptual and formal skills through a focus upon installed media and the viewer experience. An understanding of how the complexities of space, scale, and ambience affect the reading and experience of Electronic Media combined with the development of practical skills in media production, cabling and installing equipment will be developed through studio theory seminars, workshops and practical tasks.
