DESCRIPTION

Professional Practices aims to facilitate students' creative capacity and skills development to enable them to produce professional art, design, theoretical or curatorial work through the development and realisation of one or more self-directed projects. Projects are supervised by academic staff from one of the following disciplines: Drawing, Electronic Media, Furniture Design, Visual Communication, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Art and Design Theory, Curatorial Studies and Public Art.

WEIGHT: 25%

ASSESSMENT:

Assessed by relevant studio and/or theory staff and the coursework postgraduate coordinator.

TEACHING PATTERN:

A weekly seminar program of student led presentations, discussions and group critiques. Regular supervisory meetings by arrangement.
