In the case of Honours (
Studio Research) candidates, the thesis is a resolved body of art or design work and an accompanying exegesis based on your own line of speculative self-directed research, building on the context for the project investigated in the Defining the Field unit, and the work completed for the Studio Project Design and Studio Project Development units. Your completed thesis is exhibited in the Honours Examination Exhibition installed in various locations throughout the Tasmanian School of Art, with key representative work/s included in the group Honours show in the Plimsoll Gallery.
In the case of Honours (
Theory Research) candidates, the thesis is a written document of 15,000 words based on your own primary or secondary research building on the preliminary work completed for the Theory Project Design and Defining the Field units. Your completed thesis should be presented as a soft bound document for final examination.
WEIGHT: 25%
ASSESSMENT:
The final thesis, and accompanying exegesis for Studio Research candidates, will be examined at the conclusion of Thesis - Research Project B FSA417

Units are offered in attending mode unless otherwise indicated (that is attendance is required at the campus identified). A unit identified as offered by distance, that is there is no requirement for attendance, is identified with a nominal enrolment campus.
