DESCRIPTION

In this unit you will develop a line of speculative, self-directed research in the field of contemporary visual art or design, forming the basis of your Honours thesis. You will identify a research theme, specify research questions, and develop preliminary art or design work for your thesis, and, where applicable, gain ethics approval. You will have regular meetings with your supervisor to monitor the progress of your research.

WEIGHT: 25%

ASSESSMENT:

Studio experimentation (100%). Assessed by relevant studio staff and the Honours Co-ordinator

TEACHING PATTERN:

Regular supervisory meetings by arrangement, and regular group critiques
