DESCRIPTION

In this unit you will develop a visual diary or journal and a proposal and work-plan for the pursuit of a line of speculative, self-directed work in the field of contemporary art or design which will be pursued in the units FSA414 Studio Project Development and FSA419 Thesis - Professional Project or FSA415 Thesis - Research Project. A series of group sessions will introduce general principles of formulating effective research methodologies and strategies, documenting the research process, and proposal writing.

WEIGHT: 12.5%

ASSESSMENT:

Proposal presentation (10%), journal (50%), proposal and work-plan 1,000 words (40%)

TEACHING PATTERN:

The unit is delivered via a sequence of methodology sessions, student led presentations, discussions and critiques
