Applicants elect to enrol in one of three courses offered with the Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours: Honours (Professional), Honours (Studio Research) or Honours (Theory Research).
The Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours
(Professional) full-time course comprises the following suite of units: FSA411 Studio Project Design (semester one), FSA413 Defining the Field (semester one), FSA414 Studio Project Development (semester one), Thesis - Professional Project (semester two). Prerequisites are a major in studio units.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours
(Studio Research) full-time course comprises the following suite of units: FSA411 Studio Project Design (semester one), FSA413 Defining the Field (semester one), FSA414 Studio Project Development (semester one), FSA415 Thesis - Research Project (semester two). Prerequisites are a major in studio units.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours
(Theory Research) full-time course comprises the following suite of units: FSA418 Theory Project Design, FSA412 Contemporary Visual Theory (semester one), FSA413 Defining the Field (semester one), FSA415 Thesis - Research Project (semester two). Prerequisites are a major in Art and Design Theory.
Entry into Honours is subject to performance levels as indicated within the BFA(Hons) course specifications.

Units are offered in attending mode unless otherwise indicated (that is attendance is required at the campus identified). A unit identified as offered by distance, that is there is no requirement for attendance, is identified with a nominal enrolment campus. A unit offered to both attending students and by distance from the same campus is identified as having both modes of study.
