The first of two units to enable Musicology students to complete a substantial written thesis or analysis project. Students will be expected to demonstrate high-level skills in independent research and/or analysis and in written expression as well as a degree of original input into the thesis project. Students are required to keep a research journal and regular submission of written work is expected to allow for the refinement of the student's development of ideas and writing style through critical feedback from the supervisor.
WEIGHT: 25%
ASSESSMENT: Thesis (15,000 words) written over a period of two semesters. The result will be determined upon completion of FCZ420 Thesis B
TEACHING PATTERN: Weekly supervision (60 minutes) with academic supervisor
