Musicology majors: all students in the musicology major will be assigned to a Conservatorium ensemble and are required to attend all rehearsals and participate in concert performances.

A consideration of recent developments in research that are being conducted into music spanning areas as diverse as aesthetics and criticism, music palaeography, music therapy, music sociology, physiology of performance, instrument design and the application of critical theory. This study will be undertaken in the context of a broadening understanding of twentieth century music and its relation to research.
