This unit provides foundation studies in audio recording, software applications for sound manipulation, sound sculpture, sound diffusion, exhibiting Sonic Art and interactivity. It Introduces students to the development and scope of sonic art and provides a starting point in exploring the creative uses of sound. New and radical approaches to sound recording, performance, installation works and exhibitions through a critical analysis of sonic works of contemporary artists will be explored.
