This unit continues the work developed in Chamber Music 3A. The unit provides students the opportunity for further development the skills required for progressive participation in an advanced-level ensemble. The content focuses on the building of ensemble expertise to develop collaborative, interpretative and presentation skills for the performance of standard and new ensemble/chamber music repertoire. Students are expected to undertake the required research and repertoire analysis necessary to enable a concert performance of substantial quality.
Larger ensembles (more than 5 performers): Weekly 3 hour rehearsals/coaching sessions (12 weeks) or
For intensive block delivery mode: 3-day weekends of sectionals and rehearsals totaling on average 20-30 hrs
Small ensembles: Weekly 2 hour ensemble performance class/scheduled rehearsals, minimum 6 x 1hr coaching sessions

Units are offered in attending mode unless otherwise indicated (that is attendance is required at the campus identified). A unit identified as offered by distance, that is there is no requirement for attendance, is identified with a nominal enrolment campus.
