Explores teaching and learning strategies in relation to vocal/instrumental performance skills. The unit aims to provide students with an understanding of child development and maturation issues, and requires them to develop a personal rationale for music education. Advocacy and ethical practice are important matters for discussion.
WEIGHT: 12.5%
ASSESSMENT: class work (30%), assignments (70%) -- a mixture of written, oral, individual and group assignments
