This unit provides an opportunity for students to explore in depth historical, theoretical and contextual aspects of a specific music topic. Topics, which will be cycled, focus on a particular genre or characteristic of a given chronological period and will enable detailed analysis of the contribution of major composers and the development of musical structures and styles.
ASSESSMENT: Seminar presentation/s: 40%, 2,000-word written assignment: 30%, Final assessment task: 30%
