DESCRIPTION

Throughout this unit you will be exposed to a range of literature written specifically for children, ranging in age from pre-school to early adolescent. The purpose of this unit is to encourage the exploration, analysis, and interpretation of a variety of texts that have been created for children, through online discussion, reading groups and collaborative sharing. You will have the opportunity to read, discuss, share and explore children's literature. You will develop skills in identifying quality children's literature and in determining how best to use children's literature in a classroom context.
