In this unit you will be introduced to music and visual art as key elements of the early childhood and primary Arts curriculum. The role of the arts in education and the value of learning in and through the arts will be explored. You will explore the use of music and visual art as powerful pedagogical tools in the classroom, and possibilities for cross-curricula work using music and visual art will be explored through practical and theoretical approaches. Music and visual art curricula will be analysed and explored with reference to theoretical and practical activities.
