Introduction
BioStart is a preparation program for people who are unsure about:
what to expect in the biological sciences
what skills are needed for success
what resources are available to help develop these skills
The program is designed to meet a variety of needs of students entering the Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Human Movement courses, who do not have a TCE science background, and for alternative entry and mature age students returning to study.
Admission & Prerequisites
Enrolment is open to students who have accepted a place in the Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Human Movement or Bachelor of Health Science.
Course Objectives
The program aims to:
introduce students to the culture of the School of Human Life Sciences
introduce the types of learning tasks required within the School
introduce terminology used in biological sciences
assist students to develop a range of appropriate skills for University study.
